KiroVax is an autologous dendritic cell vaccine developed by Kiromic BioPharma for the treatment of various solid malignancies. The therapy involves harvesting a patient's dendritic cells and pulsing them with a proprietary cocktail of tumor-associated poly-antigens (TAPA). These antigens are selected to represent a broad spectrum of targets commonly expressed in solid tumors. Once re-administered to the patient, these primed dendritic cells are intended to activate and expand tumor-specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs), thereby mounting an immune response against the cancer. In clinical studies, KiroVax was evaluated in combination with low-dose cyclophosphamide to modulate the tumor microenvironment and topical imiquimod to enhance the immune response.
