Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KITE-037 is an investigational allogeneic anti-CD19 CAR-T cell therapy developed by Kite Pharma, a subsidiary of Gilead Sciences, for the treatment of cancers expressing CD19, primarily B‑cell malignancies. It is designed as a universal, off‑the‑shelf CAR-T product, aiming to provide immunologic cytotoxicity by engineered T lymphocytes targeting B-lymphocyte antigen CD19 on malignant B cells. KITE-037 has been reported in preclinical development, with no active clinical trials reported publicly to date. A Kite–Sangamo collaboration that included this program expired in April 2024; earlier, in 2021, Kite chose not to submit an IND for KITE-037, though Sangamo’s 2021 filing noted the development program remained active at that time.[1][7][4]
