Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KIVU-107 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by Kivu Bioscience for the treatment of solid tumors. The drug leverages next-generation proprietary ADC technologies, including Synaffix’s GlycoConnect™ site-specific conjugation platform, to create highly stable and homogenous ADCs with optimized linker and payload combinations. The payload used in KIVU-107 is a topoisomerase I inhibitor, designed to maximize therapeutic efficacy while minimizing off-tumor toxicity. This approach aims to overcome drug resistance mechanisms in cancer cells by employing a payload that is not susceptible to efflux by membrane proteins commonly responsible for resistance. As of late 2024, KIVU-107 is in IND-enabling studies with plans for Phase 1 clinical trials targeting solid tumors with unmet medical need[1][2][3][4][5][8].
