Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KL070002 is an investigational, highly selective small molecule inhibitor of the RET (Rearranged during Transfection) kinase, developed by Sichuan Kelun Botai Biopharmaceutical. RET alterations, such as fusions and mutations, serve as potent oncogenic drivers in several malignancies, including non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and various types of thyroid cancer. KL070002 is designed to potently inhibit the kinase activity of both wild-type RET and various RET mutants, thereby blocking the downstream signaling pathways (such as MAPK/ERK and PI3K/Akt) that facilitate tumor growth and progression. The compound is currently undergoing Phase 1/2 clinical evaluation in patients with advanced solid tumors harboring RET alterations, aiming to provide a targeted therapeutic option for this molecularly defined patient population.
