Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KLF6 siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to target and silence the expression of Krüppel-like factor 6 (KLF6), a zinc finger transcription factor. In preclinical research, KLF6 siRNA is utilized to investigate the role of KLF6 in various physiological and pathological processes, including lipid metabolism, cell differentiation, inflammation, and tissue repair. For instance, in autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) models, silencing KLF6 in regulatory T cells (Tregs) has been shown to downregulate intracellular lipid peroxidation and ameliorate Treg suppressive function, suggesting therapeutic potential for rebalancing Treg lipid metabolism in AIH.
