Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Klimadynon is a herbal medicinal product formulated to relieve menopausal symptoms in adult women, such as hot flashes, excessive sweating, mood swings, sleep disturbances, and anxiety. Its active ingredient is a dry extract of the rhizome of black cohosh (Cimicifuga racemosa), standardized to 2.8 mg per tablet (extraction ratio typically 5-10:1 with ethanol 58% v/v as the extractant). The mechanism of action is believed to be an estrogen-like effect mediated by selective interaction with certain estrogen receptors without causing typical estrogenic changes in target tissues. Klimadynon does not contain hormones and is considered non-hormonal therapy for menopause-related complaints[1][2][3][7][8].
