Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Klosterfrau Reizhusten Lutschtabletten Salbei-Honig is a medical device lozenge developed by MCM Klosterfrau for the relief of dry, irritating coughs. Formulated with a marshmallow-root-based plant complex (Eibischwurzelextrakt) and carrageenan, the lozenge dissolves in the mouth to form a physical protective barrier (Schutzfilm) over the irritated mucous membranes of the throat and pharynx. This demulcent effect provides soothing hydration, calms the cough reflex, and protects the airways from further irritation, allowing the mucosal tissues to regenerate. It features a sugar-free sage-honey flavor.
