Overview

KLWS-V502 is a recombinant nonavalent human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine produced in Escherichia coli, targeting HPV types 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33, 45, 52, and 58. It induces neutralizing antibodies against these high-risk and low-risk HPV types to prevent associated premalignant lesions, genital warts, and cancers, particularly cervical cancer. Developed by Beijing Health Guard Biotechnology, it is administered intramuscularly in a 3-dose schedule and has been evaluated in Phase 1, 2, and 3 trials demonstrating non-inferior immunogenicity and comparable safety to GARDASIL® 9.[1][3][9][12][13]
