KM-001

KM-001 is a small molecule drug developed by Kamari Pharma as a topical 1% cream formulation for the treatment of rare skin disorders including palmoplantar keratoderma (PPK), pachyonychia congenita (PC), and pruritus. It acts as an inhibitor of the TRPV3 protein (Transient Receptor Potential Cation Channel Subfamily V Member 3), which is implicated in skin barrier function and sensory perception. The drug is classified under anti-inflammatories, antipruritics, calcium regulators, keratolytics, and skin disorder therapies. As of early 2025, it has completed phase I clinical trials for PPK and PC in both Israel and the United Kingdom. Additional studies are ongoing or planned for pruritus associated with lichen simplex chronicus and other dermatological conditions[1][2][3][4].
