KM1468

KM1468 is a monoclonal antibody that specifically targets insulin-like growth factor II (IGF-2), functioning as an IGF-2 inhibitor. It was developed by Kyowa Hakko Kogyo and evaluated predominantly in preclinical studies for its potential use in intestinal polyposis and neoplastic diseases. In murine models of intestinal tumorigenesis, KM1468 reduced intestinal polyp formation through neutralization of IGF-II in the tumor microenvironment, thereby inhibiting IGF-related signaling (including IGF-1 receptor phosphorylation and Akt pathway activation), inducing apoptosis and suppressing tumor formation[1][3][7]. The drug has been discontinued from development[1].
