Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KMD-140 is a preclinical-stage biologic candidate being developed by KMD Bio for the treatment of head and neck cancer. The drug is designed using KMD Bio's proprietary Protein Corona Shield Nanoparticle (PCSN) platform, also referred to as Antibody Conjugated NanoParticles (ACNP). This platform utilizes porous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) loaded with a cytotoxic payload and coated with targeting proteins via a stable glutathione-sensitive GST-GSH bio-linker, aiming to improve drug delivery efficiency and safety compared to traditional antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). KMD-140 is currently undergoing preclinical and chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) development.
