KN044

KN044 is a recombinant, humanized fusion protein consisting of a cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated antigen 4 (CTLA4) single domain antibody linked to an Fc domain. It acts as an immune checkpoint inhibitor by targeting CTLA4, thereby blocking the inhibitory signal that downregulates T-cell activation. This mechanism enhances the immune system's ability to attack tumor cells and exerts antineoplastic effects. KN044 is being developed primarily for the treatment of advanced solid tumors and is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials. The drug was initially developed by Suzhou Alphamab and has also been associated with Changchun Intellicrown Pharmaceutical.
