Overview

KN203 is a small molecule µ-opioid receptor (MOR) agonist that was developed by KeyNeurotek Pharma GmbH for the treatment of overactive bladder (OAB) and urgency-frequency syndrome. It was the first compound in its class to be specifically investigated for OAB, operating through the activation of µ-opioid receptors to modulate bladder muscle contraction. The drug reached Phase 2 clinical development, where it was evaluated in a double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled proof-of-concept trial involving German women with OAB. However, development ceased following the dissolution of KeyNeurotek Pharma.
