KN5001

KN5001 is an autologous natural killer (NK) cell therapy being developed for the treatment of pulmonary nodules, including solitary and multiple nodules. The therapy involves the extraction of a patient's own NK cells, which are then expanded and activated ex vivo to enhance their cytotoxic potential before being re-infused into the patient. NK cells are a key component of the innate immune system, capable of identifying and eliminating cells that exhibit signs of malignancy, such as the expression of stress ligands or the loss of MHC class I molecules. By boosting the number and activity of these cells, KN5001 aims to eliminate pulmonary nodules and prevent their malignant transformation into lung cancer.
