Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Kofol is a proprietary Ayurvedic herbal formulation developed by Charak Pharma to provide relief from cough, sore throat, and respiratory congestion. It is available in multiple dosage forms, including chewable tablets, syrups, and lozenges. The formulation contains a synergistic blend of traditional Ayurvedic herbs, such as Yashtimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Shunthi (Zingiber officinale), Bibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica), Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum), and Vasa (Adhatoda vasica). These ingredients work together to soothe throat irritation, reduce inflammation, liquefy mucus, and suppress cough reflexes. Kofol is non-drowsy and is suitable for both dry and productive coughs of allergic or infective origin.
