Kolofort

Kolofort is a pharmaceutical drug formulated as sublingual tablets for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and functional dyspepsia. It contains low doses of affinity-purified antibodies to three targets: tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), histamine, and S100 brain-specific protein. The mechanism of action involves modulation of immune responses and inflammation by targeting TNF-α, regulation of gastrointestinal motility via histamine H4 receptors in the gut, and psychotropic effects through interaction with serotonin receptors and sigma-1 receptors in the central nervous system. This combination provides spasmolytic, anti-inflammatory, anxiolytic, antidepressive, antiasthenic, nootropic, and sedative effects that help normalize gastrointestinal function. Kolofort is primarily indicated for IBS (including stress-related forms) and functional dyspepsia manifested by symptoms such as abdominal pain, constipation or diarrhea, flatulence, bloating, nausea or vomiting[1][2][3][5][6].
