Overview
Kombi 5V is a multivalent recombinant protein vaccine candidate developed by the Human Stem Cells Institute (Artgen) in collaboration with its subsidiary Betuvax. Designed to provide simultaneous protection against both seasonal influenza and COVID-19, the vaccine is built on the Betusfera platform. This platform utilizes recombinant viral antigens combined with a proprietary betulin-based corpuscular adjuvant, which is intended to enhance the immune response while maintaining a favorable safety profile. The '5V' designation likely refers to its pentavalent nature, targeting four influenza strains and the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It is currently in preclinical development.
