Overview
Korovit is an oral cardiovascular medication developed and manufactured by Robugen, primarily indicated for the treatment of functional circulatory disorders and hypotension. It is a combination product containing D-camphor and a thick extract of hawthorn berries (Crataegus). Camphor acts as a circulatory stimulant by targeting the vasomotor centers in the central nervous system, leading to increased peripheral vascular tone and blood pressure stabilization. Hawthorn extract provides cardiotonic support, traditionally used to enhance cardiac efficiency and improve blood flow through positive inotropic effects. The drug is approved in Germany as a traditional herbal medicine for supporting cardiovascular function, particularly in cases of orthostatic dysregulation or age-related circulatory instability.
