Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**KORTUC** is an investigational intratumoral radiosensitizer developed by KORTUC for use alongside radiotherapy in hypoxic solid tumors. The current KRC-01 formulation contains 3% hydrogen peroxide and 1% sodium hyaluronate; hydrogen peroxide is the principal active component, while sodium hyaluronate prolongs local hydrogen peroxide persistence and oxygenation. Following intratumoral administration, the product is intended to generate oxygen, reduce tumor hypoxia, impair tumor antioxidant defenses including catalase and peroxidases, and increase radiation-associated reactive oxygen species and DNA damage. Clinical development includes a Phase 2 study in locally advanced or recurrent breast cancer and a seamless Phase 1/2 study in locally advanced cervical cancer.
