Kouqiang Kuiyang San (口腔溃疡散) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) topical powder formulation indicated for the treatment of oral ulcers (mouth sores). It is manufactured by Beijing Tong Ren Tang and marketed under brands such as WANTONG. The formulation contains three primary active ingredients: Qing Dai (Natural Indigo / Indigo Naturalis), Bai Fan (Alum / Alumen), and Bing Pian (Borneol). According to TCM principles, it works by 'clearing heat and healing sores.' Pharmacological studies suggest it possesses antibacterial, antiviral, astringent, and local analgesic properties. The drug is applied externally to the affected oral mucosa and holds the Chinese State Food and Drug Administration approval number Z11020184.
