Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Kovax Flu Tetra PF is a quadrivalent, inactivated split-virion influenza vaccine developed and manufactured by Koreavaccine. It is designed to provide active immunization against four strains of the influenza virus: two influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and two influenza B lineages (Victoria and Yamagata). The "PF" designation indicates that the vaccine is supplied in a pre-filled syringe, which is intended to facilitate ease of administration and ensure dosage accuracy. As a split-virion vaccine, it contains disrupted viral particles that expose key antigens, primarily hemagglutinin, to the immune system to stimulate a protective immune response. It is indicated for the prevention of influenza caused by the specific strains included in the formulation and is typically administered via intramuscular injection.
