Overview
KP-701 is a novel, dual-acting bispecific monoclonal antibody (mAb) designed to target both CD79B and CD32B (FcγRIIb). Developed by Jasper Therapeutics following its acquisition of Kira Pharmaceuticals, KP-701 is intended for the treatment of autoantibody-mediated disorders. The antibody's mechanism involves the co-engagement of CD79B, a component of the B-cell receptor (BCR) complex, and CD32B, an inhibitory Fc receptor. This dual targeting is engineered to suppress B-cell activation and the subsequent production of pathogenic autoantibodies. As of mid-2026, KP-701 is in the preclinical stage, with Jasper Therapeutics preparing to file a Clinical Trial Application (CTA) or Investigational New Drug (IND) application to initiate Phase 1 clinical evaluation in early 2027.
