Overview

KP8031 is an induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived neural progenitor cell therapy being developed by K Pharma, Inc. for the treatment of chronic cerebral infarction (stroke). The therapy involves the transplantation of neural progenitor cells derived from iPSCs into the brain to promote functional recovery and tissue repair in patients who have entered the chronic phase of stroke. The program is currently in the preclinical research stage and is being developed in collaboration with the Osaka Medical Center. K Pharma is also exploring the expansion of this cell therapy platform into related indications such as chronic cerebral hemorrhage and chronic traumatic brain injury.
