Overview
KPL (Krill Phospholipid) is a specialized nutritional formulation of omega-3 fatty acids, specifically eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), delivered in a phospholipid matrix derived from krill oil. Developed and studied by researchers at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Universität Hannover, KPL was designed to evaluate the short-term bioavailability of omega-3s in a phospholipid form compared to other delivery formats like ethyl esters and re-esterified triglycerides.
