Overview

**KQB198 + osimertinib** is a combination therapy comprising KQB198 (a code name for a drug candidate, mechanism unspecified in available sources) and **osimertinib**, a third-generation oral epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase inhibitor developed by AstraZeneca. Osimertinib binds irreversibly to mutant forms of EGFR, including T790M, sparing wild-type EGFR and thereby limiting toxicity. This combination is intended for treatment of EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), particularly to address or delay the development of resistance to EGFR-targeted therapies. While the current evidence is limited for KQB198 specifically, the concept is supported by preclinical and clinical investigations showing that adding agents to osimertinib can enhance antitumor effects and delay resistance in NSCLC.
