KR-335 is an investigational mRNA-based immunotherapeutic developed by Kernal Biologics for the treatment of cancer, including solid tumors such as triple-negative breast cancer. It utilizes Kernal Bio’s proprietary mRNA 2.0 platform to engineer selective mRNA-lipid nanoparticle (LNP) complexes that are designed to be selectively translated into therapeutic proteins within the tumor microenvironment. This approach aims to maximize anti-tumor efficacy while minimizing off-target effects and toxicity. Preclinical studies have demonstrated a high therapeutic index (100x), strong efficacy in solid tumors resistant to conventional immuno-oncology agents, and favorable tolerability in animal models[1][6]. The mechanism of action is described as protein synthesis stimulation within targeted cancer cells.
