Overview

Small-molecule inhibitors targeting various KRAS oncogene mutations, specifically excluding the G12C mutation. This program is a preclinical research collaboration between Astex Pharmaceuticals, Merck (MSD), and Taiho Pharmaceutical, initiated in January 2020. The collaboration aims to develop potent inhibitors against multiple KRAS mutations, such as G12D and G12V, which are prevalent in pancreatic, colorectal, and lung cancers but have historically been considered undruggable. Under the agreement, Merck provides funding and handles global commercialization, while Taiho retains co-commercialization rights in Japan and promotional options in specific areas of Southeast Asia.
