Venquis Therapeutics' KRAS G12D degrader is a preclinical small molecule designed to selectively target and degrade the KRAS G12D mutant protein. Developed using the company's proprietary Chemically Induced Protein Degrader (CIPD) platform, the compound is engineered to be mutant-selective, sparing wild-type KRAS to minimize potential toxicities. The program is primarily focused on treating KRAS G12D-driven cancers, such as pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma and lung cancer, where this specific mutation is highly prevalent and historically difficult to target. Unlike traditional PROTACs or molecular glues, the CIPD platform creates direct protein degraders that do not rely on the same recruitment mechanisms.
