Overview

A kras peptide vaccine is a therapeutic cancer vaccine composed of synthesized peptides that correspond to common mutations in the KRAS gene (such as G12D, G12R, G12V, G12A, G12C, and G13D). These peptides are designed to stimulate the immune system—specifically T cells—to recognize and attack cancer cells harboring these mutated forms of the KRAS protein. The vaccines are typically administered with an adjuvant (such as poly-ICLC or Amphiphile-CpG-7909) to enhance immune response. The approach is "off-the-shelf," meaning it does not require customization for each patient and can be used broadly in patients whose tumors carry relevant KRAS mutations. It is being developed primarily for high-risk patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC), colorectal cancer (CRC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and other solid tumors driven by mutant KRAS[1][3][5][6][7][8][9].
