KRN330

KRN330 is a recombinant, fully human monoclonal antibody that targets the A33 surface differentiation antigen, a membrane-bound glycoprotein uniformly expressed in approximately 95% of colorectal cancers. It was developed as an antineoplastic agent for the treatment of advanced and metastatic colorectal cancer. The drug acts by binding to the A33 antigen on tumor cells, potentially mediating immune responses against these cells. Clinical studies evaluated its use both as monotherapy and in combination with irinotecan for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer who had progressed after standard therapies. While it demonstrated some disease control and stable disease in early-phase trials, development was discontinued after phase 1/2 due to insufficient efficacy[3][4][6].
