KROS 101

KROS 101 is a novel small molecule immunotherapy developed by Kairos Pharma for the treatment of solid tumors, including melanoma and glioblastoma. It acts as a potent agonist of the glucocorticoid-induced tumor necrosis factor receptor ligand (GITR ligand), enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. Mechanistically, KROS 101 promotes proliferation and cytotoxicity of effector T cells (CD4+ and CD8+), reduces regulatory T cell (T reg) populations, prevents T cell exhaustion within the tumor microenvironment, and boosts cytokine production to enhance tumor cell killing. Preclinical studies have shown that it is superior to previous anti-GITR antibody therapies in promoting intratumoral T cell infiltration, reducing immune suppression by T regs, and increasing overall anti-tumor activity[2][3][4][5].
