Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Krozone-SB is a fixed-dose combination antibacterial injection developed by Croise Pharma. It contains cefoperazone, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic, and sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. Cefoperazone works by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) to inhibit bacterial cell wall synthesis, while sulbactam irreversibly inhibits beta-lactamases, protecting cefoperazone from enzymatic degradation and overcoming bacterial resistance. Krozone-SB is indicated for the treatment of various severe bacterial infections, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and septicemia.
