Overview

KRP-126 is a first-in-class small molecule negative allosteric modulator (NAM) of the Fms-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3) receptor. Developed by Kyorin Pharmaceutical in partnership with BIODOL Therapeutics, it is currently in Phase 1 clinical development for the treatment of neuropathic pain. Unlike traditional FLT3 inhibitors used in oncology that target the ATP-binding site, KRP-126 acts as a negative allosteric modulator, potentially offering a novel mechanism for pain management by modulating FLT3 signaling in the peripheral nervous system, which is implicated in the chronification of pain.
