Overview

KSF IgG IL-9 is a non-targeted control immunocytokine used in preclinical research to evaluate the efficacy of interleukin-9 (IL-9) delivery. It comprises the KSF monoclonal antibody, which is specific for hen egg lysozyme (an antigen absent in mammalian tissues), in a full-length IgG format fused to IL-9. Developed by Philogen, it serves as a negative control for targeted immunocytokines like F8-IL-9, which targets the extra-domain A (EDA) of fibronectin. Research using this construct has focused on pulmonary hypertension, where IL-9 delivery is investigated for its potential to modulate pulmonary vascular remodeling and inflammation. By comparing the non-targeted KSF format with targeted formats, researchers can determine the necessity of antibody-mediated localization for therapeutic effect.
