Overview

KSHB002 is a biosimilar to abatacept, developed by Kashiv BioSciences. It is being evaluated as a costimulation modulator for the treatment of autoimmune diseases, particularly rheumatoid arthritis. Abatacept functions as a T cell activation inhibitor by interfering with the CD80/CD86-CD28 costimulatory signal required for full T-cell activation. KSHB002 has been formulated as a 125 mg/mL pre-filled syringe injection and has demonstrated pharmacokinetic equivalence to the reference product Orencia in Phase I clinical trials, with comparable safety and immunogenicity profiles. Both subcutaneous and intravenous formulations are under development[2][4][6].
