KSL-W demonstrates broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity against: * Gram-positive bacteria * Gram-negative bacteria * Fungi (e.g., *Candida albicans*) * Viruses It also exhibits immunomodulatory effects, including enhancing neutrophil chemotaxis, increasing F-actin polymerization in neutrophils, and inhibiting oxygen radical production in stimulated neutrophils. It has advanced to human clinical trials for oral health applications, showing safety and proof-of-concept efficacy in reducing plaque and gingival inflammation.
