Overview

KSQ-001EX is an investigational autologous tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy in which the SOCS1 gene is inactivated using CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing. Developed by KSQ Therapeutics, this therapy uses the ExPRESS process to manufacture enhanced TILs (eTILs) with improved anti-tumor function, engraftment, and persistence. The SOCS1 gene was identified as a key negative regulator of T-cell function; its inactivation enhances TIL cytotoxicity and cytokine production. The product is being evaluated for safety and efficacy in patients with advanced solid tumors including melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC)[1][2][4][5][6][8][9].
