Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KT051 is a second-generation chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy targeting Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), currently in preclinical development by Nanjing Kati Medical Technology. CLDN18.2 is a tight junction protein that is highly expressed in several solid tumors, including gastric and pancreatic cancers, while showing limited expression in normal tissues. By engineering T cells to express a CAR specific for CLDN18.2, KT051 aims to selectively target and eliminate malignant cells, providing a potential therapeutic option for patients with CLDN18.2-positive gastrointestinal malignancies.
