Overview

KT127 is a TCR-like chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy targeting mesothelin (MSLN), a cell-surface glycoprotein that is highly expressed in various solid tumors, including ovarian cancer. Developed by Nanjing Kati Medical Technology in collaboration with Southeast University Affiliated Zhongda Hospital, KT127 utilizes a TCR-like CAR design. This approach involves engineering T cells to express a receptor that recognizes MSLN-derived peptides presented by MHC/HLA complexes on the cell surface, potentially providing higher specificity and better targeting of tumor cells compared to traditional CAR-T therapies. KT127 is currently being evaluated in Phase 1/2 clinical trials for the treatment of patients with advanced, platinum-resistant MSLN-positive ovarian cancer.
