KTI-018

KTI-018 is an investigational **fully human monoclonal antibody** developed by **Keros Therapeutics** that selectively binds and neutralizes **activin receptor-like kinase 2**, also known as **activin A receptor type 1**. By inhibiting ALK2 signaling, the antibody is intended to **lower hepcidin**, increase circulating iron availability, and improve iron supply for erythropoiesis, supporting development for **anemia of inflammation**, including anemia associated with **chronic kidney disease** and other chronic inflammatory conditions. Preclinical data described high affinity and selectivity for ALK2 and showed reduced serum hepcidin with increased serum iron in healthy non-human primates. Publicly available context indicates the program was ultimately **discontinued**.
