Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Kunfukang capsule is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation developed and manufactured by Shaanxi Kanghui Pharmaceutical. It is approved in China for the treatment of pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and its sequelae, particularly in patients presenting with a damp-heat stasis syndrome pattern. The capsule is composed of several herbal ingredients, including Radix Paeoniae Rubra (赤芍), Radix Sophorae Flavescentis (苦参), Polyporus (猪苓), Fructus Ligustri Lucidi (女贞子), Herba Artemisiae Anomalae (南刘寄奴), Radix Linderae (乌药), Rhizoma Dioscoreae Hypoglaucae (粉萆薢), and Herba Polygoni Avicularis (萹蓄). It exerts its therapeutic effects through anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and immunomodulatory mechanisms, improving uterine microcirculation and reducing levels of inflammatory biomarkers such as C-reactive protein (CRP), GM-CSF, and MCP-1.
