Kuwanon G is a natural Diels-Alder adduct-type flavonoid primarily isolated from the root bark of *Morus alba* (mulberry). Identified through AI-guided screening and deep learning frameworks, it acts as a potent and competitive inhibitor of Cathepsin L (CTSL), a lysosomal cysteine protease that promotes tubular inflammation, extracellular matrix remodeling, and renal fibrosis. In preclinical models of diabetic kidney disease (DKD), Kuwanon G has demonstrated the ability to significantly reduce inflammatory signaling and the expression of fibrotic markers under high-glucose and high-lipid conditions. Beyond its potential in metabolic and renal diseases, Kuwanon G has also been investigated for its antibacterial properties, particularly against methicillin-resistant *Staphylococcus aureus* (MRSA).
