KW-008 aerosol formulation

KW-008 is an aerosolized formulation of recombinant human interferon alfa-2b developed by Kawin Technology for the treatment and prevention of respiratory viral infections, specifically H5N1 influenza (avian flu). By utilizing an inhalation route, the drug delivers the cytokine directly to the respiratory mucosa, where it binds to the Type I interferon receptor complex (IFNAR1 and IFNAR2).
