KY100001

KY100001 is an orally administered small molecule inhibitor that specifically targets mutant forms of isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1). By binding to and inhibiting these mutant IDH1 enzymes, KY100001 blocks the production of the oncometabolite 2-hydroxyglutarate (2HG) from alpha-ketoglutarate. This mechanism aims to counteract the tumorigenic effects associated with IDH1 mutations in cancer cells. The drug is being developed primarily for the treatment of advanced solid tumors and is currently in Phase 1 clinical trials. The initial developer and sponsor for clinical studies is KPC Pharmaceuticals (also referred to as Kunming Pharmaceutical)[1][2][3][4][5].
