KY1051

KY1051 is a monoclonal antibody that targets and antagonizes the C-X-C chemokine receptor type 4 (CXCR4). Developed by Nxera Pharma (formerly Sosei Heptares) in collaboration with Sanofi, KY1051 is designed to neutralize the interaction between CXCR4 and its ligand, CXCL12 (also known as stromal cell-derived factor 1 or SDF-1). The CXCR4/CXCL12 signaling axis plays a pivotal role in the tumor microenvironment by regulating immune cell trafficking, promoting tumor cell survival, and facilitating metastasis. By blocking this pathway, KY1051 is intended to disrupt these pro-tumorigenic processes and potentially enhance the activity of immune-checkpoint inhibitors. The drug is currently in preclinical development for the treatment of various cancers.
