KY1106

KY1106 is an experimental intravenous (IV) anti-adherent therapeutic being developed by KYDES Pharmaceuticals. Currently in the preclinical stage, the drug is designed to address a wide range of conditions characterized by pathological cellular adhesion or micro-thrombosis. Its primary indications include drug-resistant malaria, leukemia, sickle cell crisis, and chemotherapy-induced micro-thrombosis. Additionally, KY1106 is being investigated for its potential in treating multi-drug resistant bacterial infections, specifically Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE). The drug's anti-adherent mechanism is intended to prevent the sequestration of infected or abnormal cells and pathogens to the vascular endothelium, thereby potentially improving microvascular blood flow and reducing disease-related complications.
