KY1107 is an investigational abuse-deterrent oral formulation (ADF) of an opioid analgesic being developed by KYDES Pharmaceuticals for the management of severe pain. The formulation is designed with abuse-deterrent properties to mitigate common methods of prescription drug misuse, such as crushing or dissolving for non-oral administration. KY1107 exerts its therapeutic effect by acting as an agonist at opioid receptors in the central nervous system. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
