Drug intelligence / Profile preview
KY1701 is an orally bioavailable selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD) being developed by Jiangsu Kanion Pharmaceutical for the treatment of estrogen receptor-positive (ER+), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2-) advanced or metastatic breast cancer. As a SERD, KY1701 binds to the estrogen receptor, inducing a conformational change that leads to its subsequent degradation via the proteasome pathway. This mechanism effectively inhibits estrogen-mediated signaling and tumor cell proliferation. KY1701 is currently undergoing early-phase clinical evaluation in China to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with advanced solid tumors, specifically focusing on breast cancer.
