KY2 is a recombinant humanized bifunctional fusion protein consisting of a monoclonal antibody targeting programmed cell death 1 ligand 1 (PD-L1) fused to the extracellular domain of the transforming growth factor-beta receptor type II (TGF-βRII). Developed by Shenzhen Kaiyue Life Science and Technology, KY2 is designed to simultaneously inhibit the PD-1/PD-L1 immunosuppressive pathway and neutralize TGF-β within the tumor microenvironment. This dual mechanism aims to overcome TGF-β-mediated resistance to checkpoint inhibitors and enhance anti-tumor immune responses by modulating the tumor microenvironment and restoring T-cell activity. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of advanced solid tumors.
