Overview

Kylo-02 is an investigational siRNA therapeutic developed by Kylonova for the treatment of Chronic Hepatitis B (CHB). The drug consists of siRNA molecules targeting the Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and Hepatitis B e antigen (HBeAg), which are critical for viral replication and immune evasion. These siRNA molecules are encapsulated in Kylonova's proprietary Nano-lipid Particles Delivery Platform (NPDP) to facilitate delivery to the liver. The mechanism of action involves the degradation of viral mRNA, thereby interrupting the HBV replication cycle and reducing the production of viral particles. Kylo-02 is designed for use in combination with nucleoside/nucleotide analogues (NUCs) and interferon to potentially achieve a functional cure for CHB. It is currently in the IND-enabling stage of development.
